Serious accident on the A3: Transporter tilts and blocks both lanes!

BAB A3, 94523 Aicha vorm Wald, Deutschland - On Thursday morning there was a spectacular accident on the BAB A3 towards Deggendorf. A 61-year-old Romanian driver of a small van loaded with auto parts switched from the right to the left lane between the Garham and Iggensbach junctions, without noticing a subsequent car. The 54-year-old driver from Vilshofen could no longer brake in time and crashed into the van with full force. This lost control, overturned and blocked both lanes.

Although the accident looked dramatic, fortunately both drivers were not injured. A towing service with crane was requested to rescue the overturned van. The A3 motorway was completely closed for several hours, while traffic was derived at the Garham junction. The traffic jam extended to the Aicha junction in front of the forest. The total damage is estimated on a high five -digit amount. After the rescue, the lanes are now free again, but disabilities from backlogs can be expected.
