KULTURmobil inspires Konzell: Theater for young and old on July 13th!
On Sunday, July 13th, a special cultural treat will be offered in Konzell, as the traveling summer theater KULTURmobil will stop in the charming town. The venue is the church square, and in case of bad weather the performance will take place in the Klett Hall. There is a reason to be happy for all theater lovers and interested parties: entry to this event is free! Visitors can expect a colorful program that will delight both the little ones and the adults.
The children's play “Don Quixote”, directed by Susanne Schemschies, starts at 5 p.m. The classic by Miguel de Cervantes is told in a child-friendly way and takes young viewers aged five and over on the exciting adventures of the knight Don Quixote and his loyal companion Sancho. Susanne Schemschies, who heads the children's and youth theater division at the Gärtnerplatztheater in Munich, knows how to stimulate the imagination and combine reality with humor.
Versatile program for all age groups
The performance of Molière's comedy “The Imaginary Invalid” starts at 8 p.m. This amusing production by Achim Bieler examines the life of a hypochondriac whose skill with imaginary illnesses drives his family crazy. This comedy not only deals with the father's marriage plans, but also the effects of his exaggerations on his daughter, offering an entertaining mix of intrigue and secret love affairs.
The KULTURmobil brings professional theater directly to the rural regions of Lower Bavaria. Since its launch, which began on June 7th this year in Bodenmais, this initiative has already reached the population of 30 communities in the region. The tour lasts until August 30, 2025 and transforms very intimate places into lively stages. If it rains, the performances traditionally take place in the halls of the guest performance communities. Information and the complete program can be viewed on the KULTURmobil website.
Theater as a bridge to culture
The importance of theater, especially in rural regions, is made clear by the theater offerings for children and young people. These venues not only offer a place for creative development, but also promote cultural education and social integration. According to a study by the BDAT, theater is an important factor for networking within the community. It allows teens to express their thoughts and feelings while contributing to their mental health.
The challenges for young people in rural areas are diverse. The most common difficulties include long journeys and limited access to cultural offerings. Nevertheless, amateur theater remains an integral part of the community and acts as a bridge to cultural participation and social exchange. These aspects are of great benefit not only for art but for society as a whole.
With these two fascinating performances on July 13th in Konzell, KULTURmobil offers a wonderful opportunity to experience the diversity and richness of theater art. Whether small or large, everyone gets their money's worth here and can become part of an unforgettable cultural experience!
There is also a service for people with hearing impairments: free induction loops are available at the venue, compatible with modern hearing aids and cochlear implants, to ensure an unforgettable experience for all visitors.
