Bicyclist dies in Langensteinbach after a tragic accident

Ittersbach, Deutschland - On Saturday afternoon there was a tragic bicycle accident on the L622. A 35-year-old cyclist wanted to cross the street at the confluence with the K3583 when she was hit by a car coming from hamlet. The collision was so violent that despite her bicycle helmet, the woman was thrown into the green strip and died at the scene of the accident.

The 35-year-old driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for safety. The route between Ittersbach, Weiler and Langensteinbach was partially closed until 4:50 p.m., while the police carried out the accident recording. The property damage amounts to around 20,000 euros. Witnesses of the accident are asked to contact the Karlsruhe-Durlach motorway police station.
