Mercedes against cyclist: 86-year-old is responsible for the accident!

On March 27, 2025, a serious accident occurred in Landau between an 86-year-old driver and an 87-year-old cyclist. Around 11:45 a.m., the Mercedes driver wanted to turn left at the Westring into Haardtstraße when he overlooked the cyclist. The woman was seriously injured in the collision and had to be taken to a nearby hospital. The amount of damage is estimated at around 800 euros.

The driver is now facing criminal proceedings for negligent bodily harm. This could have serious consequences for him, since the accident victim does not hover in mortal danger, but has to struggle with serious injuries.
