Serious accident on B 311: Drunk drivers seriously injures woman!

On Saturday evening there was a spectacular traffic accident at 7:00 p.m. on the B 311. A 46-year-old man who was traveling with his Mercedes got on the opposite lane in an elongated curve and crashed head-on into the BMW of a 33-year-old woman. Despite her quick reaction to press the brakes, she could no longer prevent the collision. The force of the impact hurled both vehicles about 30 meters further.

The 33-year-old suffered serious injuries and was immediately taken to the hospital. The Mercedes driver was also injured and arrested for an alcohol-related crime. A breath alcohol test resulted in a value above the legal limit, which led to ensuring his driver's license and a complaint with the public prosecutor. Both cars were no longer ready to drive after the crash and had to be towed. The property damage is estimated at around 30,500 euros. The B 311 remained completely closed until 10:40 p.m., but there were no major traffic impairments.
