Hermannstraße, 12051 Berlin, Deutschland - In Neukölln, a 32-year-old man was victim to a brutal attack when he came home after shopping in the morning. Around 11 a.m. he noticed that an unknown perpetrator followed him in the hallway. After the intruder refused to leave the house, the man chose the emergency call. The attacker reacted by force: he pressed the victim against the wall, snatched his cell phone and choked him as he hit him several times.

In a dramatic turn, the attacked man managed to push the attacker away and to flee to the courtyard, where he called for help. The perpetrator continued the persecution, but was arrested by the police a little later. An alcohol test resulted in a value of 2.6 per thousand. In the meantime, the injured was brought to the hospital for his head injuries, but could be released quickly after outpatient treatment. The 36-year-old attacker came into police custody, where a blood sample was also carried out. The investigation is now taken over by a special specialist commissioner.
