Experience art: Open studios in Isental on July 12th and 13th!
Things will get creative in the Isental in the coming weeks: On July 12th and 13th, 2025, the “Open Ateliers in the Isental” invite art lovers to discover the works of a total of ten talented artists from the region. This special event takes place in the towns of Isen, Dorfen, Loipfing and Grüntegernbach and offers the perfect opportunity to experience rural art up close. The goal is clear: to bring artists and art lovers together and to present the diversity of creative forces in a small space. How sueddeutsche.de reported, visitors can visit the studios on Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The list of participating artists is as diverse as it is exciting. In Loipfing, Wiebke Kleinschmidt presents her unique objects, while Guido Neumann presents paintings, drawings and prints. In Markt Isen, guests can look forward to a wide range: Geraldine Frisch shows impressive photo, video and performance works, and the painters Maria Weber and Éva Sárosi are represented with paintings and objects. Martina Schneider-Hartmann will exhibit her works in the town hall, while Uwe Kloos will show his paintings and objects in his home.
Artist in detail
Uschi Strick's creative offerings in Höselsthal are rounded off with her paintings. In Dorfen, Jutta Ille and Andrea Cordes-Thalmeier welcome all visitors and look forward to stimulating conversations. In Grüntegernbach, those interested can admire the sculptures, paintings and graphics by Peter Breth and Hannelore Stephanie in the house and garden.
To make the most of your visit, art enthusiasts should check out the website dorfen.de where you can not only find further information, but also receive current information about the event. The “open studios” offer the opportunity to find out the stories and inspiration behind the works of art directly from the artists themselves and perhaps even discover one or two works of art for yourself.
The event is not only very important for the art scene, but also promotes exchange between people in the region. Some artists and art enthusiasts emphasize the importance of such events for the community and local culture. Cultural life in the region is becoming more lively and diverse, which certainly contributes positively to social bonds.
Whether you are an art lover or simply interested in creative processes, the “Open Ateliers in Isental” is an event you shouldn’t miss!
