Distelweg, 91056 Erlangen, Deutschland - On Tuesday afternoon, April 8, 2025, an 86-year-old woman in the Erlangen district of Alterlangen was the victim of a brutal robbery in her own home. An initially unknown perpetrator penetrated her house around 11:30 a.m., attacked the senior citizen and tore her off a chain. He also stole further valuables worth several hundred euros and then fled from the crime scene.

The seriously injured woman called for help, which caused neighbors to alert the police. The Erlangen criminal police immediately initiated investigations and secured traces at the scene. Thanks to intensive investigative work, a 35-year-old man was identified as a suspect and finally arrested. The suspect is now in custody after a corresponding arrest warrant has been issued.
