On July 19, 2025, the open-air stage “Asam, open up” on the area of the Asam building will be revived and provide a musical festival. Until 2014, an annual concert was held here, which served as a refreshing contrast to the brass music on Marienplatz. But renovation work had pushed the undertaking into the background. Now that the restoration of the Asam building will be completed next year, the Old Town Festival will become a very special stage for young talent - and the whole thing is free of charge! With this in mind, the organizers also stopped by to prepare everything for the meeting of music and community. That's what she reports South German newspaper that the new open-air stage in the courtyard, which now has a newly designed environment, has already provided proven service at test events.

But what is so special about the revival of the concert series? The second edition of the “jung & laut” festival will shape the atmosphere in Freising’s outer courtyard from 5 p.m. to midnight, parallel to the old town festival. The announcement This event promises a colorful collection of musical acts performed by young people for young people. The order of performances has also already been determined and gives hope for numerous energetic performances:

Speaking of culture: Anyone looking for a visual experience can look forward to the first-class dance performance “FLOW” by Compagnie Linga at Asam. This internationally acclaimed dance company delivers a 70-minute performance that explores the balance between collective harmony and individual expression. The use of live music from traditional Korean Geomungo music and electronic sounds also ensures an unforgettable evening. Tickets are already available online, with prices ranging from 26 to 29 euros, plus box office fees, and the bar will open after the performance.
