Rapid chase: five young drivers caught the illegal race!

On Wednesday evening, February 12, 2025, the Munich police were informed about a dangerous driving experience at the Frankfurter Ring around 10:30 p.m. A concerned car driver reported five strikingly frenzied vehicles-mainly BMW and Mercedes-who accelerated and put on red traffic lights extremely quickly and other drivers. The crowning glory: The vehicles massively exceeded the speed limits!

The police reacted at lightning speed and sent several patrol cars to the affected area. The patrol officers were able to find the five fast -paced drivers in the Odeonsplatz and Ludwigstrasse area. The driver group of the driver? Between 18 and 24 years, with residences in Munich, Freising and Saxony-Anhalt. They were displayed for a forbidden motor vehicle race.

The police took the leaders of the young racers, several cell phones and three Mercedes after consultation with the public prosecutor. Although the drivers were released after the investigation has been completed, the Munich traffic police stay on the case.
