From March 1, 2025, it is finally over with the blue insurance license plate! From now on, all drivers have to switch to a green license plate to secure insurance cover. The old blue license plate loses its validity at the beginning of the year - this means: vehicles that are still on the road with the old license plate after this key date are without insurance. Anyone who drives without insurance not only is liable for damage in the event of an accident, but also act illegally according to the compulsory insurance law.
