Secure your bike: Free theft protection in Lüneburg!
Auf der Hude 1, 21339 Lüneburg, Deutschland - The Lüneburg police inspection has announced the first coding appointments for 2025 to effectively protect bicycles, e-bikes and pedelecs from theft. The coding campaigns will take place on March 28 and 29, 2025 in the courtyard of the Lüneburg police inspection, with an online registration. In view of the alarming increase in bicycle thefts in recent years, the police are increasingly relying on prevention - in 2024 the theft numbers were reduced by more than 13 percent.
The police advise use to use high-quality locks and recommend installing GPS trackers that send an alarm to the owner when the bike moves. In order to facilitate the identification of stolen bicycles, owners should have a bicycle pass in which important data such as the frame number are noted. If you are interested in the free coding, you should not only have your bike but also a proof of ownership and ID. Further coding appointments for 2025 are being planned and the appointments are continuously updated.
