Stool attack on the Viktualienmarkt: 43-year-old seriously injured!

on Saturday evening, January 25, 2025, a 43-year-old woman in Ingolstadt was seriously injured in a violent incident. According to the police's investigation, a dispute on the Viktualienmarkt escalated when a 30-year-old Yemenit sat on the woman's bicycle. Despite her protests, a physical argument developed in the course of which the man hit the ground to the ground and attacked her with a chair. Passers -by hurried to help and prevent worse by snatching the chair.

Both participants were considerably alcoholized in the argument and were slightly injured. The Ingolstadt public prosecutor regarded the incident as an attempted homicide and applied for an arrest warrant against the attacking person. The following day, a judge put the arrest warrant in execution and the 30-year-old was brought to a correctional facility. The criminal police have taken over the investigation and are looking for witnesses who have observed the incident.
