Weisgerber on a constituency tour: hiking and cycling combined in Kitzingen!
Bundestag member Anja Weisgerber has big plans: from August 30th to September 4th, 2025, she is starting a unique tour through her constituency of Schweinfurt-Kitzingen, which is all about movement and community. This premiere will combine both hiking and cycling, a concept that has never been tried in this form before. The journey begins on Saturday, August 30th, at 12.30 p.m. at the new village square in Albertshofen, where interested citizens can take the first steps together with Weisgerber.
The first stage takes the participants to GEA's brewery equipment in Kitzingen. There will be a tour with the Mittelstands-Union at 2.30 p.m., which will offer exciting insights into the local economy. This opportunity should prove to be worthwhile for both those who are active in sports and those who enjoy it.
A day with a lot of exercise
On Sunday, August 31st, there is a bike tour on the program that starts at 10.45 a.m. at Generation Square in Oberschwarzach. With a total distance of 31 kilometers, the route leads through the picturesque Steigerwald. Participants will stop at stations in Dingolshausen, Mönchstockheim and Lülsfeld before the bike tour ends with a visit to the Steigerwälder Weintage.
Thursday, September 4th will be a very special day for families. A family day with reduced admission is taking place in the Geiselwind leisure area. The meeting point will be between 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. at the parking lot in front of the entrance. Fun and unforgettable experiences are guaranteed here for young and old!
With this initiative, Anja Weisgerber not only wants to motivate people in her constituency to move more, but also strengthen cohesion and community. “The members of the community are invited to be active in nature and to promote exchange among themselves,” says Weisgerber. Your dedicated approach will no doubt be well received by many.
This combination of sporting activities and community events shows once again how important it is to strengthen local structures and promote a sense of community. If you need more information about this year's tour, you can find out more on the MainPost page.
