Guildford, Surrey, UK - On Wednesday, Prince William visited the biotechnology company Naturemetrics in Guildford, Surrey, and described the day as one of the most beautiful of his life. The visit took place as part of the Earthshot Prize 2024 finalists, whereby Naturemetrics is nominated in the category "Protect and Restore". During the visit, William and school children clearly had fun when they sprayed with water from sprays, filled with sea water. The Earthshot Prize was launched by Prince William in 2020 and pursues the goal of developing solutions for pressing environmental problems and promoting global collaborations. sustainable innovation: Fleather

among the finalists. Phool produces Fleather, a sustainable material made of floral waste that serves as an alternative to animal and plastic leather. Phool has already collected 13,000 tons of floral waste since its foundation and has over 163 women from the marginalized Dalit caste. Their goal is to set 5,000 women to create waste -based jobs and at the same time contribute to cleaning sacred rivers.

The advanced projects and ideas presented as part of the Earthshot Prize show impressively how entrepreneurial creativity and a sense of responsibility can work together in order to cause positive change. One example is the "Flowercycling" model, which has been successfully implemented in five large temple cities in India, and has doubled the amount of the up-to-up floral waste.
