The Cologne spirits scene finds a new reason to be happy! Monika Gruber, the popular cabaret artist, has teamed up with Tobias Maier, the managing director of the traditional Lantenhammer distillery, to bring an exclusive spirits series onto the market. This limited edition bears the illustrious name “Die Gruaberin” and includes three enchanting fine distillates that are available now. Background of the collaboration

The collaboration between Gruber and Lantenhammer is based on a shared passion for regionality, authenticity and enjoyment. Monika Gruber, who is known for her humor, not only contributed her ideas, but also found a perfect cooperation partner in Tobias Maier. The latter describes the products as “cheeky, honest, boarish, good” and emphasizes that the names of the distillates came about in a humorous exchange between him and Gruber.

The limited RARITAS series comes in a quantity similar to the already very popular Bud Spencer edition of “Josef Bavarian Gin” from 2022. A look into the future

The enthusiasm for these spirits is not only reflected in product development. Lantenhammer receives regular requests for collaborations with other prominent personalities. A particularly exciting project has already been initiated: At the beginning of 2026, a new collaboration with an internationally known artist will be presented, who will be present at the Winter Court Festival on November 15th and 16th, 2025. Monika Gruber will also be signing autographs there in person.

The Lantenhammer Distillery, founded in 1928, has earned a first-class reputation over the years and has received several awards, including “Distillery of the Year” from 2020 to 2024 and “Spirits Company of the Year 2023”. The products are characterized by years of storage in historical stoneware containers, which underlines their special character.
