Aiwanger secures Bürgerwindpark in the Steigerwald: Now it gets green!
Neustadt an der Aisch, Deutschland - In the Steigerwald, one of the largest civil wind farms of Bavaria will be built by 2028. A total of 19 wind turbines are built here, which should make an important contribution to the region's energy supply. Energy Minister Hubert Aiwanger and the government of Middle Franconia have found a solution to ensure the connection to the regional power distribution network of the N-energy. According to Wiesentbote , however, the operator will refrain from dipping in accordance with the Renewable-Energia-Law (EEG) Because there are not enough network capacities on site.
The N-energy has agreed to accept a flexible network connection agreement (FCA). This means that the feeding of the wind power is temporarily limited, but these restrictions are limited to a period by the end of 2031. District President Dr. Kerstin Engelhardt-Blum emphasizes that there is a binding network connection commitment for the wind farm. Under normal circumstances, operators of wind or solar systems are entitled to a timely network connection according to § 8 EEG if there are sufficient network capacities.
Minister of Economics Aiwanger's plans for citizen participation
The planning of the wind farm is part of Aiwanger's further ambitions to increase the acceptance of renewable energies in Bavaria. With a new draft law, the Bavarian Minister of Economic Affairs wants to ensure that municipalities and citizens finally benefit financially from new wind projects and solar parks. This reports, among other things, BR .
The draft law provides that municipalities and citizens are involved in the income of wind and solar systems, and 0.3 cents per meshed kilowatt hour of electricity are provided. While this approach is generally rated positively, experts express concerns in the state parliament's economic committee. The current form of design is "counterproductive", criticizes Florian from the Bavarian City Day, which calls for a comprehensive new regulation. Representatives of the CSU have also distanced themselves from the draft law and criticize that the draft is "not consent" in the current form.
participation models and outlook
It is planned that all municipalities within a 2.5-kilometer radius around the wind turbines and their residents participate in financial participation. The same applies to photovoltaic systems. Exceptions are provided for the new regulations, especially for special photovoltaic systems such as AGRI-PV. Measures to strengthen acceptance among the population are to be financed from the agents mentioned.
The present plans show that the Steigerwald wind farm should not only offer greater security of supply, but at the same time also a step in the direction of making sustainable energies in the region popular. Even if the draft law still has to be adjusted, many hope that after the summer break, a “ready -to -advise law” can be presented, which finds the balance between economic interests and the acceptance of the citizens.
