Drug raid on the A3: Discover 6 kg amphetamine in the car!

On Wednesday, February 19, 2025, the Passau border police inspection carried out intensive control on the BAB A3, which lasted several hours. Several kilograms of drugs and large amounts of cash were confiscated. As part of the operation, which took place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., around 50 vehicles and over 100 people were checked due to cross -border crime and illegal migration. Eight criminal proceedings were initiated and two search goals registered.

A 20-year-old Bulgarian driver wanted to escape with a fake Belgian driver's license, but was stopped and displayed. A search -relevant vehicle from Hungary hid 25,000 euros in cash in the trunk, the origin of which the driver was unable to explain plausibly. Over 6 kilograms of amphetamine were finally discovered in a Dutch car. The 65-year-old driver was temporarily arrested and imprisoned after a judicial demonstration. The police are now examining the background of drug trade.
