50 years of Eggenfelden Hospital: A celebration of modern medicine!

A very special occasion is coming up: this Eggenfelden Hospital celebrates its 50th anniversary on September 19, 2024. To properly celebrate this anniversary, a celebratory event will take place on July 25th from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Visitors can look forward to an exciting afternoon that offers them the opportunity to get to know the clinic up close.

What exactly can guests expect? In addition to information stands that introduce the various departments, the program also includes exciting lectures and guided tours. Particularly noteworthy is the interdisciplinary emergency center, which serves as a central contact point for acute emergencies. Over the years, the clinic has developed into an important part of outpatient and inpatient care in the Rottal-Inn district and offers a wide range of specialist departments, including general and visceral surgery, cardiology and trauma surgery.

A look behind the scenes

At the event, visitors will also have the opportunity to admire the modern equipment and technical capabilities of the Health Academy and the high-tech simulation center, which has been in operation since May 2022. Here, medical emergencies can be simulated realistically, which ensures clear training.

There are also a number of specialist lectures, which will be given by renowned experts, among others. That's how it will be Prof. Dr. Marc Wick at 3 p.m. will give a talk about the changes in trauma surgery. At 3:30 p.m Prof. Dr. Christian Gleißner and Hans-Georg Gramsl shed light on the topic of stroke and possible treatment methods.

The Eggenfelden Hospital is known not only for its medical care, but also for its history, which reflects the development of the healthcare system. The German Society for Hospital History, founded in 1963, is intensively concerned with the evolution of hospitals and hospitals.
