Schools in Tirschenreuth shine with price for addiction prevention!
In the Upper Palatinate, the commitment to addiction prevention blooms. The Marien primary school Tirschenreuth and the girls' secondary school Waldsassen were recently awarded for their outstanding projects in the field of addiction prevention with first place in the competition "Strategies of good addiction prevention in the Upper Palatinate". Both schools were able to look forward to a prize money of 1,200 euros each, which was donated by the Sieglinde-Nothacker Foundation from Regensburg. The ceremonial award ceremony took place in the Tirschenreuth district office, where District Administrator Roland Grillmeier and Kamila Härtl, addiction prevention specialist of the healthcare center, presented the documents. What made these projects so special? A total of 19 schools took part in the competition, but the award -winning contributions stood by sustainability, innovative implementation and the involvement of parents and specialist agencies.
