*] On May 4, 2025, a very special event will be celebrated in Potsdam: The German Film Orchestra Babelsberg (DFOB) goes on a musical journey through the world of film music as part of the event "Film Orchestra meets Film University". The DFOB, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year and a quarter of a century since it was founded, has made a name for itself for its outstanding studio productions and concerts with film music. In 1993 the orchestra was reorganized and ties in with the tradition of the legendary UFA and DEFA symphony orchestras.
