S-Bahn chaos in Berlin: Unknown Signal cables cut through!

In a nightly sabotage campaign between the Humboldthain and Nordbahnhof train stations, unknown perpetrators cut several signal cables. Around midnight, the federal police received an alarm from the emergency control center of S-Bahn GmbH about the disruption of the train connection. Despite intensive search measures for the emergency services, the search was initially unsuccessful.

not only around 2:59 a.m. technicians from the S-Bahn Berlin discovered the damaged cables. A total of about 50 centimeters of cables were stolen, which led to significant impairments in rail traffic. The police are now investigating intensively to hold the perpetrators and prevent further disorders. - OTS
