Two children throw stones on the train: Federal Police raise the alarm!

On Thursday evening, April 24, 2025, two 12-year-old boys in Holzweißig provided a dangerous incident. Armed with gravel stones, they threw on an Intercity Express who was currently traveling from Berlin to Halle (Saale). A window of the train was damaged, but fortunately no passenger was injured. The train gave an emergency and the police were immediately alerted.

Thanks to an attentive witness, the two children could be quickly caught and handed over to the emergency services. These informed their parents and clarified the boys about the serious dangers of their actions. The incident led to massive delays on ten trains, which lost a total of 126 minutes. The federal police urged: rail systems are not playgrounds! A connection to the prevention officer of the Federal Police Inspection Magdeburg is now being established in order to bring the boys closer to the risks of train traffic.
