On Monday evening, March 17, a bicycle thief in Bremerhaven caused excitement! Around 8:15 p.m., a witness recognized his stolen pedelec on Grashoffstrasse and confronted the cyclist, who then fled. The Bremerhaven police reacted at lightning speed and initiated a search. The suspect driver finally could be spotted on Columbusstrasse and accelerated strongly when he noticed the officials.

The courageous attempt to escape led him past the Geestemünde police station, but the police officers who immediately moved out were able to set the perpetrator.
