Passport control exposes international fraudsters in Magdeburg!

On Friday, March 28, 2025, the Federal Police Inspection Magdeburg was alerted after a 33-year-old male passenger in an Intercity train between Hanover and Magdeburg was only able to show a Germany ticket during ticket control. During his identity test, it turned out that he only had a photo of his passport on his smartphone.

The officials found that there was a ceremony for him from the Bremerhaven district court against him, since he was supposed to be involved in several attempted thefts. The arrest warrant had already been issued on June 13, 2024, and since he had no permanent residence, the suspect was custody. After his demonstration in front of the judge in Magdeburg, the arrest warrant was confirmed and the Russian citizen was brought to a correctional facility. He also sees other criminal complaints about fraud and unauthorized stay in Germany.
