Top game: Bremerhaven defeated Iserlohn 2-1 in the ice hockey thriller!
On October 30, 2025, the Iserlohn Roosters met the Pinguins from Bremerhaven in an exciting ice hockey game. The encounter began with an even balance of power and opportunities on both sides. Daniel Fischbuch in particular had the best opportunity in the 8th minute, but he was denied by the strong goalkeeper Leon Hungerecker.
The first third showed that Iserlohn was unable to take advantage of the first power play, while Bremerhaven built up more and more pressure. But goalkeeper Hane from the Iserlohn Roosters turned out to be insurmountable. In the 20th minute, Colin Ugbekile launched a dangerous counterattack, which was unsuccessful.
The exchange of blows continues
Things really got going in the second third. Iserlohn found ways to go on the offensive, but the best opportunities remained unused. For example, Jakub Borzecki missed a promising opportunity in the 26th minute. Bremerhaven countered, and Christian Wejse was unlucky to miss both Hane and the post in the 35th minute. But shortly afterwards it was Wejse who scored the 1-0 for Bremerhaven in the 36th minute.
The game became more heated and an altercation broke out between Nicholas B. Jensen and Eric Cornel, both of whom received a two-minute penalty. With just 14 seconds left in the period, Wejse made it 2-0. Iserlohn found itself in a difficult deficit at the end of the second third.
Final third without success
In the final third Iserlohn tried to make up the deficit, but despite a few shots it remained goalless. Bremerhaven continued to be dangerous on the counterattack, but Hane did a good job and prevented them from falling behind. In the 56th minute, Julian Napravnik finally scored the goal to make it 1-2 for Iserlohn after the team was able to take advantage of a double majority.
1.5 minutes before the end, Hane had to make room for an additional field player, which didn't help Iserlohn because a penalty against Christian Thomas ruined the power play. In the remaining time the Roosters were no longer able to pose a threat and the game ended 1-2 from their point of view.
The next game for Iserlohn before the international break is on Saturday, when it is against the Grizzlys Wolfsburg at 6 p.m.
