Burglar in Bremen: Two arrests after sensational acts!
There were recently two burglaries in Bremen city center that are keeping the police authorities on their toes. On Monday, shortly after 1:30 p.m., a 56-year-old resident on Fedelhören Street noticed an unknown man entering his maisonette apartment through his open balcony door. The surprised burglar immediately fled, but was eventually arrested on Schillerstrasse. When the police searched the arrested person, they found stolen goods, which are still being examined further. What is particularly noteworthy is that the 25-year-old man has already been provisionally arrested. The police officers are still looking for any further crimes the suspect may have committed and are clarifying whether any more thefts are connected to him [image] reported.
Almost a night later, on Tuesday night at 1:35 a.m., an attentive witness observed another break-in on the last Schlachtpforte street. Two men used a tilted French window to break into a shisha bar. The perpetrators stole a shisha and two bottles of spirits. The witness acted quickly and recognized one of the burglars near Radio Bremen, which enabled the police to immediately arrest the 25-year-old. Here too, investigations are underway regarding his accomplice, who is still at large [Image] reports.
The police are asking for assistance
In view of the investigations that have been initiated, the Bremen police now have a special request for the citizens. Officers have recently seized extensive loot from burglars, including valuable coins, jewelry, silverware and watches. These items were probably obtained through break-ins in Horn-Lehe and Oberneuland between 2016 and 2017. However, so far they have not been assigned an owner. The police invite everyone in Bremen to take a look at the police station's homepage to provide information on how to identify the owners. Any information is welcome - the contact details are the Bremen Criminal Police Service on (04 21) 36 23 88 8 or a direct police station [BremenNews] reported.
Security situation in Bremen
In order to strengthen citizens' sense of security, Bremen is launching a comprehensive security survey that is carried out every three years. This survey, which has been enshrined in law since 2020, is intended to help better understand unreported crimes and optimize police work. Around 30,000 people aged 16 and over are randomly contacted from the residents' registration offices to take part in this anonymous survey. The period extends from the end of April to mid-May 2025. The goal? To give the people of Bremen security and to demonstrate a good hand in preventing crime. Participants also have the opportunity to take part in the survey online in several languages [Bremen Police] reported.
