Dedicated host families wanted: Experience intercultural exchange!

From October 2025, host families for scholarship holder: inside of the 42nd year of the parliamentary sponsorship program (PPP) will be sought in Germany. This exchange program is supported by the German Bundestag and the US Congress and implemented by the exchange organization Cultural Vistas gGmbH. Bettina Lugk, a member of the Bundestag, called all interested citizens in the Märkische Sauerland to get involved and advertise as a host family.

The PPP is aimed at young professionals from the United States between the ages of 18 and 24. This scholarship holder: First go through a language course, study a semester at a university in Germany and then complete a job -related internship. The aim of the program is to give young adults the opportunity to discover German culture up close and gain intercultural experiences.

host families play a crucial role in the exchange process by offering the scholarship holder: inside a real home. Bettina Lugk therefore encourages families, single people and shared apartments. Open living opportunities are welcomed and shorter stays are also possible. In addition, the accommodation is financially supported by the German Bundestag, which creates additional incentives for potential host families.

The scholarship holder: inside that participate in the PPP usually have completed vocational training. In this program, you not only get to know the German language, but also everyday life and culture in Germany, while you act as a junior ambassador: inside Germany. The exchange should promote personal connections between cultures and strengthen common political values.
