Magdeburg, Deutschland - On May 18, 2025, the 48th International Museum Day will take place under the motto "Discover museums". Numerous museums in Saxony-Anhalt open their doors to visitors free of charge on this day. According to FAZ.net, more than 50 museums participate with special programs. The participants include the municipal museums in Magdeburg and Halberstadt as well as the Old Märkische Museum in Stendal and the museums of the Luther memorials Foundation in Wittenberg.

Rainer Robra, Minister of State for Culture, encourages citizens to explore the diversity and the special importance of the museums in the region.
