EU intervenes: Hungary under fire because of LGBT event ban!

Warendorf, Deutschland - On April 20, 2025, the EU Commission announced that the legal steps against Hungary have passed according to the country that significantly restrict the representation of homosexuality and gender conversion in public spaces. In a new tightening of the Child Protection Act, the Hungarian Parliament has even changed the constitution to reinforce the ban on public events that violate these laws. According to Michael O’Flahery, director of the FRA, the results of the 2nd survey among LGBTI people are sobering because progress has been limited in recent years. It is particularly alarming that many victims of discrimination against such acts do not report because they do not believe in a change. These strict entry requirements fall into a context of globally increased security concerns.

In addition, the security situation in Afghanistan ensures chaos and confusion, especially among people who are to be recorded there.
