Rioter in the ICE: threat and resistance to police officers in Mainz
On March 16, 2025, the federal police in Mainz was called for an incident in ICE 29, on the route from Koblenz to Mainz. A 43-year-old German had threatened and insulted a train attendant, which led to his exclusion from the onward journey. When asked to leave the train, the man showed aggressive behavior, insulted the officials and refused to get out.
When the police wanted to captivate him to enforce the exit, he resisted and continued to behave disrespectfully. In addition, a residence procedure from the Hamburg public prosecutor's office was available against him because of the pretense of a criminal offense. After the police measures, the man was released, but criminal proceedings for threats, insult and resistance to enforcement officers were initiated.
