Raster in Hamburg: Police reveals dangerous traffic violations!

On Thursday, May 22, 2025, the Hamburg police carried out extensive controls in the urban area as part of the Europe-wide traffic safety campaign "Roadpol 2-Wheelers". 52 people and 76 vehicles were checked in a period of six hours. The balance sheet is alarming: numerous violations were punished, including four cases of red light abuse and 16 cases of proof of mobile phone use among cyclists.

The control of a 35-year-old pedelec driver in Hermannstal was particularly explosive, in which manipulations were found on the bike. The driver achieved speeds of up to 45 km/h without pedal support with suspicion of driving without a license and a violation of the compulsory insurance law. The police announced that traffic safety controls continue to raise awareness of security in road traffic.
