Security offensive in Hamburg: 1,850 police officers on the street!

In a remarkable commitment in Hamburg, the police carried out extensive traffic control between March 24 and April 11, 2025, in which almost 1,850 civil servants were involved. The measures included over 1,350 traffic controls, in which around 1,900 vehicles and more than 2,000 people were checked. The result is alarming: 4,837 speed overruns, 833 parking violations and 57 cases in which children were not properly secured.

In addition, the officials also found violations of the straps (41), the run over red traffic lights (35) and another 170 other violations. The police announced that they will continue to carry out controls to increase the security of schools and daycare centers and to increasingly sensitize the road users to the dangers in road traffic.
