The top 10 long -distance cycle paths in Germany: enjoyment on two wheels!
Almost 37 million German companies annually at least one day trip by bike, while 5.5 million cyclists are planning a bike trip with an overnight stay. This year-old enthusiasm for cycling is supported by the results of the ADFC-Radreis-radenanalysis 2024 , which has determined the most popular cycling trails in Germany. The analysis also shows how important this means of transportation is for German tourism and what needs cycling: inside.
The General German Bicycle Club (ADFC) has given valuable insights into the cycling behavior of the German resident population through a nationwide survey. Since 1999, extensive data has been collected in this analysis on socio -demographic factors, travel behavior and accommodation. The target group of this information is not only municipalities and hosts: inside, but also tourism organizations that want to take into account the needs of cyclists: inside.

The ADFC cycling analysis provides insights into the travel habits of cyclists and adds important perspectives that go beyond statistics. The survey asks, among other things, about the information behavior before and during the bike tour, the time of the travel decision and the daily mileage. These aspects help the tourism actor: inside, to develop tailor -made offers.
The data for the last analysis was collected from the end of October to mid -December 2023 and published on March 6, 2024 at the international tourism fair ITB in Berlin. Such annual surveys not only offer current results, but also valuable indications for the design of future cycle paths and travel offers. The next ADFC cycling analysis will be carried out in 2025, your results are to be published in 2026.
