Sven Väth inspires Kassel: GIG at the legendary Amen Festival 2025!
Sven Väth, a central figure of the electronic music scene, will appear as the main act at the “Amen Festival” 2025 in Kassel. Väth, who was born in Frankfurt on October 26, 1964, is a real icon of Techno and House. He has significantly shaped the German club scene since the 1980s and has thus achieved international celebrity. His label, Cocoon Recordings, which he founded in the 1990s, was one of the most important actors in electronic music.
The Cocoon Club in Frankfurt, which he opened in 2004 and which was active until 2012, was a landmark for many techno fans. The label recently celebrated its 25th anniversary and thus shows Väth's incessant influence on the scene. Despite a sparse publication policy in recent years, he has remained active as a DJ and producer. Most recently, he performed on December 7, 2024 at the "Amen Festival" in Gießen and has already planned another appearance for March 29, 2025 at the Kassel trade fair. The tickets for the festival cost 45 euros.
a musical transformation
Sven Väth also set new standards in parallel to his appearances. He recently published a limited 12 ″ picture disc from "L’Speranza (Hope)" on his label Cocoon Recordings. This publication is special because the original version 1993 came out on Eye Q Records. The Picture Disc documents a 30-year transformation of Väth, both sound and visual.The artwork on the A-page comes from the original 12 ″ cover. On the A1 is the "Original Album Version" by "L’Speranza", which captivates with gentle strings and a filtered downbeat. On the B page you can find the "Hardspace Mix" from 2023, a revision of the track of "Visions of Shiva" by Len Faki, which reflects the club feeling with an euphoric 135 BPM.

Väth not only celebrates its success as a DJ, but also his four decades in the music scene. The photo book "Sven Väth: 4 Decades Behind The Decks: A Journey of Music, Magic, and Euphoria" appeared. This book, in a large vinyl format, includes pictures and stories from Väth's career, enriched with voices from friends, business partners and companions.
