On Friday, April 26, 2025, a serious motorcycle accident occurred in Grossenlüder when a 19-year-old driver was traveling from Bad Salzschlirf towards ützhausen on his Aprila RS600 at 5:10 p.m. The traffic accident was caused by a 45-year-old VW golf driver who overlooked the motorcyclist who was entitled to the right of way when turning out of an economic path.

The collision was violent: the motorcyclist was thrown onto the road on the impact and suffered serious injuries. He was immediately brought to the Herz-Jesu Hospital in Fulda to be treated there. The property damage is estimated at around 10,000 euros.
