The route of the move leads over several central streets, including Waldstraße, Richthofenstraße and the main street, and finally ends on Zeppelinstrasse. The city administration of Germersheim asks for understanding the restrictions and cordially invites all citizens to participate. Mayor Marcus Schaile wishes all visitors a happy carnival parade 2025.

security situation in parades

Merkur reports in several cities, including in Aschaffenburg and Kempten. These decisions were made after a fatal knife attack and the increased safety costs that almost reached almost 50,000 euros in Kempten.

In contrast, additional security measures are taken in other Bavarian cities, such as Würzburg and Nuremberg. In Würzburg, travel blocks and reinforced security forces are used to avoid dangerous situations. The carnival strikes will take place on Marienplatz in Munich, whereby the safety precautions are being checked. Here the Feringa carnival company cooperates with the fire brigade to secure critical positions.

security measures in Hesse

At the same time, the safety precautions in Hesse intensify during the carnival period. Hessenschau notes that cities such as Fulda, casting and Wiesbaden adapt and expand their security measures. In Fulda, vehicle barriers, barrier grids, bollards and police controls and a prohibition of weapons are planned.

Against the background of the events, security will have a top priority. Interior Minister Roman Poseck emphasizes that although there is no specific terrorist risk, an abstract danger is perceived. The Rose Monday parade was completely canceled in the city of Marburg because the security claims and costs cannot be financed.

The challenges in the implementation of carnival parades are therefore diverse and require increased attention and adaptation to current security sites from the organizers. Nevertheless, the desire to maintain the tradition of carnival and give the citizens happy hours.
