New chief of police in Hünfeld: Schütz succeeds Wehner!
The Hünfeld police station has a new boss! First police chief Uwe Schütz was officially introduced to office by police chief Michael Tegethoff on Wednesday morning. Schütz succeeds Thilo Wehner, who will now take over a new position in the East Hesse police headquarters after three years. Wehner, visibly emotional, emphasized the strong connection to Hünfeld and thanked for the support of the community.
Uwe Schütz, an experienced policeman, has decades of experience. He started his career at the Hessen police in 1985, went through various positions and was most recently head of office in Lauterbach. In his new role, he wants to further reduce crime volume and take into account the security of the approximately 35,000 citizens in Hünfeld and the surrounding communities. The farewell to Wehner and the takeover of Schütz mark an important change in the security management of the region.
