Something is happening in Gießen - the Makerspace Gießen, also known as MAGIE, has been a place that combines creativity and technology for more than five years. Located at Walltorstrasse 57, it offers an open workshop that focuses in particular on future technologies such as 3D printing, microelectronics and artificial intelligence. Here, founders can create prototypes, students can realize their projects and schoolchildren can take their first steps in electronics. The MAGIE collective consists of the Gießen Technology and Innovation Center, the Justus Liebig University, the Technical University of Central Hesse and the creative office flux-werk gGmbH. District Administrator Anita Schneider recently presented a grant that supports the makerspace with 25,000 euros, of which 5,000 euros comes from the federal government's Smart Region funding.
