There's a lot going on in the ice hockey scene in Landshut at the moment, as the Germany Cup is just around the corner. The 53-year-old Canadian Todd Woodcroft, head coach of the Kassel Huskies, traveled with sports director Daniel Kreutzer to follow the tournament games live and to gain valuable impressions for future work. As the Kassel Huskies report, the Slovak Ice Hockey Association asked Woodcroft for support for the Slovak coaching team, which urgently needs reinforcements due to absences.

Woodcroft has an impressive international career that has already taken him to the big stage: he has worked with four nations at a total of seven senior and two U20 World Cups. His most significant achievements include winning the gold medal with Team Canada in 2004 and the bronze medal with Sweden's U20 team in 2022. A great honor for Woodcroft, which was also recognized by Derek Dinger, managing director of the EC Kassel Huskies. He sees the request from the Slovakian association as a special sign of trust.
