Disaster for job seekers: Hesse has the worst employment agency!

Employment agencies in Germany are the focus of a new study that shows that customer satisfaction appears in a very mixed light. As HNA reports, a comprehensive analysis of over 46,000 Google reviews was carried out for 704 employment agencies in 683 cities. The average rating is 2.96 out of 5 points – a signal that there is still a lot of room for improvement at many employment agencies.

An agency in Hesse performs particularly poorly, topping the negative list with a rating of 2.3. Many of the worst-rated agencies come from Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg and North Rhine-Westphalia. In Fulda, the employment agency only receives 2 out of 5 points, and Kassel is no better with 2.2 points. While large cities such as Cologne, Munich and Hamburg are slightly above average, they do not make it into the top ten best ratings.

Challenges in job placement

A fundamental problem appears to be a lack of information and uncertainty when applying for unemployment benefit, which leads to frustration among customers. Paul Krusenotto, a lawyer, is therefore calling for more transparency and communication from employment agencies. After all, these institutions are not only responsible for providing advice on job searches, but also for paying out unemployment benefits, which are financed from unemployment insurance contributions. Many unemployed people who have been employed subject to compulsory insurance for at least 12 months in the last 30 months are entitled to this money.

Where does this lack of trust lead? The results of the study – based on over 46,000 reviews – show how big the discrepancy is between expectations and reality. In complete contrast, cities like Düsseldorf shine, receiving the best rating with 4 out of 5 points, followed by Fürstenwalde/Spree (3.9 points) and Neuss (3.6 points).
