Dangerous goods under control: police controls in the Lahn-Dill district
In the Lahn-Dill district, the law enforcement officers checked dangerous goods transport on April 16 and discovered numerous violations. Deficiencies in the load securing were found for four drivers, two of which were not instructed in dealing with hazardous substances. Particularly striking: a fire extinguisher was overdue! In addition, ten other drivers violated steering and rest periods- day control sheets were missing, rest periods were not met and the control device was defective.
A Brummi driver from the Oberberg district was particularly negative because he did not insert a driver card and could not provide evidence of the last 56 days. This could cost him 150 euros a day, while the holder has to expect a multi -digit fine. Two sprinters of a transport service provider had invited dangerous goods, but were not properly secured - here too there are threatening sensitive fines. Another truck driver was caught at 94 km/h at permitted 60 km/h, which at least earned him a fine of 175 euros, without driving ban.
