U12 tournament in Fulda: Champions Cup inspires young kicker!

On January 6, 2025, several exciting football tournaments are on the program in the Fulda region. On Sunday, January 12th, the first U12 hall tournament under the name "Champions Cup" will be organized in the Gellingshalle in Fulda. This tournament enables young talents to compete in a competition. The start of the event is scheduled for 11 a.m., the final is expected to take place at 5:26 p.m.

The SG Baroque city, which organizes the tournament, is enjoying a high number of participants. Trainer Florian Wotzlaw emphasizes that there are only a few tournaments for this age group and that the demand is correspondingly high. A field of eight teams was originally planned, but ten teams were admitted due to the interest. In addition to the SG Barockstadt, Eintracht Frankfurt, FSV Mainz 05, Darmstadt 98, Hesse Kassel, KSV Baunatal, SG Bruchköbel and Viktoria Aschaffenburg. The encounters are held in two groups of four, followed by a knockout phase from the quarter-finals. Entry to the tournament is free. The Gellingshalle is located at Willi-Glotzbach-Weg 1 in Fulda.

Gelita U12 Cup in Eberbach

Another important U12 tournament took place on December 2 in Eberbach. A total of 14 teams competed in the Gelita U12 Cup, including youth teams from eight Bundesliga clubs and other football performance centers. The event was organized by the Eberbacher Sport Club (ESC). It started at 9 a.m., the final ended with the award ceremony around 6:15 p.m. The teams were divided into two groups with seven teams each. Prominent participants included TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, VfB Stuttgart, 1. FC Kaiserslautern, FSV Mainz 05 and Eintracht Frankfurt. Peter Reichert, Mayor of Eberbach, took over the patronage. In addition, a U11 cup took place on Sunday, December 3, which was also very popular. The guest was given on both days.
