Safe on two wheels: Successful bicycle coding for seniors in Schöneck!

The first bicycle coding in Kilian cities was a complete success! On Wednesday, numerous seniors came to the community meeting to secure their bikes with a unique identification number by the campaign. Organized by the municipality of Schöneck in cooperation with the protection woman Heike Lachmann and security advisor Mr. Schenk, the event was supported by police officers of the Hanau district.

From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. a total of 35 bicycles were encoded - a proven procedure for replacing it in the event of theft. In the meantime, 25 personal discussions about crime prevention were held to clarify the seniors about security. The successful action opened the doors for further planned events that should offer citizens more protection in the future.
