NABU is looking for white storks: Hesse is becoming a winter oasis for storks!

Hesse is getting ready to help its feathered friends survive the cold season. It's calling until January 31, 2026 Nabu to report white storks overwintering in the region. A new online platform has been launched to make it easier for people to share their observations. Hesse is a popular destination for these majestic birds, and just last winter there were 520 white storks in the Hessian Ried.
