On January 20, 2025, the preparations for the "Grand Prize of the Southern Wine Route" will already be in full swing. The event, which will take place on April 5, 2025 in the picturesque Schweigen-Rechtenbach at the German Wine Gate, marks the opening of the Bundesliga and promises to become a sporting highlight. For the first time, the route will lead to neighboring Alsace across the French border, which makes the event particularly exciting.

The everyone cycling race, which will be re-resisted this year after its premiere in 2024, has already won around 150 participants. The cyclists can choose between two route options: a 50 kilometer long and a new 100 kilometer route. The latter leads to Altenstadt and brings the participants back to Germany via Scheibenhardt.

The event is organized in close cooperation between the Offenbach cycling association and the district of Südliche Weinstraße, supported by regional sponsors such as the Sparkasse Südpfalz, Handke Brunnenbau and Lotto Rhineland-Palatinate. Everyone bike race is the only overland race in Rhineland-Palatinate and offers a varied course of the route. The participants expect unpaved dirt roads and various gravel passages.

The 50 kilometer round has a height difference of 310 meters, while the height information for the 100 kilometer route is still being checked. The course of the routes is flat at the beginning and leads through idyllic vineyards, without long and steep climbs. The competition starts with a smaller round, followed by a larger one after the target passage. For slower participants there is an abbreviation that shortens the 100 kilometer route to about 85 kilometers.

The start fees vary depending on the route and registration date and contain a bottle of Palatinate wine as a participant gift. The catering for the event can be used against an additional contribution. The registration is open until shortly before the event, with the possibility of picking up the start documents on the evening before or on the day of the race.

Several categories are planned for the ratings, including for everyone and everyone under the age of 18, as well as for older participants over 50 years. There are also special discounts for participants under the age of 18 and group registrations with more than eight people.
