The police recently busted a national burglar gang that is said to be responsible for a large number of break-ins in Hesse, Bavaria and Rhineland-Palatinate. The investigations originated in the Rheingau-Taunus district in particular. FFH reports that more than 80 burglaries were committed between November 2024 and July 2025. As a result of the targeted investigations, seven men have now been targeted by the police.
In February, three suspects aged between 25 and 51 were arrested in Offenbach. These men appeared in court in October and were convicted. There are also four other suspects with Albanian nationality who live in Frankfurt and are also said to be involved in the break-ins.
Progress of investigations and arrests
As part of their extensive investigation, the police did not miss any opportunity and searched several properties. During these searches, stolen goods and instruments of crime were seized. Two other suspects, aged 24 and 27, were arrested and are now in custody. But not all suspects could be caught: two men are still on the run and there is an arrest warrant against them.
So far, investigations into commercial stolen goods have also been initiated in order to further examine the perpetrators' network and possibly identify further accomplices.
