Unknown perpetrators: EC card fraud in Bad Arolsen!

In a brazen campaign, an unknown perpetrator brought a 76-year-old woman for her money on November 28, 2024 in Bad Arolsen. First, the perpetrator found the lost wallet in front of a practice in Hof Lauterbach or in Alrafter Straße in Waldeck-Höringhausen. Instead of returning the wallet, he took cash and the EC card with him, and thus reached an ATM in Bad Arolsen, where he took four-digit amounts three times in a row from the older woman's account. He had discovered the pin on a piece of paper that was disguised as a phone number in the wallet.

Despite intensive investigations, the perpetrator has so far remained unknown. The district court of Kassel has now ordered a public search and has video recordings of the man, which is strongly built and dark haired. In the act he wore blue jeans, a black jacket and white sneakers. The police are hoping for information from the population that leads to the identification of the crooking face.
