A boules field for Hitzkirchen: new meeting place for the village community!
Hitzkirchen proves once again that togetherness in the village is very important. At Adamsruh, located between Bracht and lots of greenery, a new meeting place for the village community is being built. Not only will a boules field be built here, but the opportunity will also be created to promote social exchange in rural regions. That reports FNP.
Boules has been growing in popularity in Germany since the 1980s and has even experienced a real boom in recent years. This sport, which requires concentration and a sense of proportion, can be practiced by anyone without much prior knowledge. The planned new location in Hitzkirchen will not only serve as a venue, but also as a social center for the villagers.
Strong together – support from the country
The local advisory board of Hitzkirchen has received fresh funds to implement this project: a funding decision for 3,321 euros as part of the state program “Strong Village” secures the necessary funds. Thanks to volunteers, the construction of the boules field is being carried out in-house. The meadow square becomes a real meeting place. There is currently no official boules group in Hitzkirchen, but there is great hope that a community will form after completion.
But that's not all the villagers can expect. In addition to the boules field, the construction of a Kneipp path on the Mühlgraben, improving the accessibility of the Bracht for dogs and the installation of an e-bike charging station on the Adamsruh are also being planned. The area is becoming more and more an attraction for active people and those seeking relaxation.
Innovative projects in rural areas
The commitment in Hitzkirchen is not alone. Through the Rural Development and Regional Value Creation (BULEplus) program, the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) supports innovative projects that strengthen social cohesion in rural regions. A maximum of 200,000 euros over a period of up to 30 months will support activities that, among other things, create social meeting places. Demographic change and changing living conditions are challenges that small communities have to face in order to remain sustainable BLE is to be read.
With its new project, Hitzkirchen is a prime example of how such initiatives not only strengthen social cohesion, but can also significantly improve the quality of life in rural areas.
