Autumnal adventures for families: craft course and cinema day in Waldsiedlung!

What's new in the forest settlement? The Waldsiedlung support association has put together a colorful program for children and families for autumn 2025. These activities provide a wonderful opportunity to develop creative skills and spend time together. Among other things, the craft course “Creative with Acrylic” starts on Sunday, October 12, 2025, in the parish hall of the Protestant Church. Here the participants are invited to work artistically under supervision. The age groups are divided into two time slots: from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. for the little ones (3-5 years) and from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. for the older children (6-12 years). The course costs 4 euros for members and 6 euros for guests, with registration required by October 5, 2025. If interest arises, it is advisable to register early, as 8 out of 12 places for the first group are already occupied.

But it's not just crafting that's on the agenda! On Sunday, October 26, 2025, the first day of the cinema will take place in the Waldsiedlung village community center. There are three films for little cinema fans: “The Gruffalo” (FSK 0) and “Lilo and Stitch” (FSK 6) as well as “The Fantastic Journey of Dr. Dolittle” (FSK 6). Admission is free, snacks and drinks are offered on site. The doors open 30 minutes before the start of the first performance, with a responsible parent/guardian responsible for supervision.

More exciting events

The activities don't stop here! On Sunday, November 9th, 2025, another craft class with the motto “Lantern Magic” will take place in the community center. A St. Martin's parade is also planned for Tuesday, November 11, 2025, from 4:30 p.m. The grand finale of this season will be the second cinema day, which will take place on Sunday, December 7th, 2025. The exact program will be announced later. The support association will also take part in the Altenstadt-Waldsiedlung Christmas diversity on November 29th and the Altenstadt Christmas market on December 13th and 14th, 2025.
